The Government of the Balearic Islands has announced the allocation of over €470 million in funding from the Sustainable Tourism Tax, in addition to €260 million from European funds, to establish the destination as a benchmark of responsible and sustainable tourism At World Travel Market 2024, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport for the Balearic Islands, Jaume Bauzà, emphasised the archipelago’s commitment to working with local communities on its tourism strategy
